Las prácticas sociales desde los escenarios de la participación, caso: Forculvida

Abstract

n the present research project, the topic of social practices was addressed through the participation scenarios developed by children and adolescents from 11 to 18 years of age in the Forculvida Association located in the Los Lagos II neighborhood of the Aguablanca District. east of the city of Cali. In this research it was important to address the issue of social practices from communication, to understand how people socialize and interact in a specific place. For it is the individuals who build and understand the social order within an institution, or community, creating spaces of participation. This project was carried out in three stages, which consisted of: first doing the information collection, second was the approach with the community, and specifically with the social organization, making direct observation and participant, to finally analyze the information collected in the field work and deliver the final report. For this, the following research tools were used: Participant observation, structured interviews, focus groups, design of technical files and document analysis. Finally, it was necessary to highlight the relevance of this work in order to recognize the initiatives that some community organizations have in the city of Cali, specifically Forculvida, which made possible the present case study, which aimed to analyze the social practices developed by a particular social group. The study of the practices made it possible to demonstrate the essential features that shape and enable them, such as encounters, meanings and the communicative context in which they develop.
