De las filas guerrilleras a la contienda electoral: una mirada de la sociedad colombiana a la participación política de las Farc

Abstract

This study analyzes the perceptions that the victims of the armed socio-political conflict in Colombia and civil society have regarding the electoral political participation of the ex-combatants of the former guerrilla of the revolutionary armed forces of Colombia - People's Army (FARC-EP), now party and political force, Force Alternative Revolutionary of Common (FARC). The electoral political participation of this group was a central point in the framework of the peace agreement signed in 2016, facing the search for a stable and lasting peace, thus strengthening Colombian democracy. This study was carried out with inhabitants of the East of Cali between 18 and 60 years old, using a qualitative approach and through the ethnographic method from which semi-structured interview techniques, focus group, patchwork quilt, and photo language were adopted to collect the information. from the perceptions of the population. The foregoing allows us to present the meanings that both victims and civil society attribute to the political participation of ex-combatants from a very subjective level and in relation to the Colombian political system, but also, differentiating and resembling their speeches around their representations.
