Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the theoretical aspects that account for the psychological effects that occur in caregivers who have children with disabilities. The purpose of this objective stems from the question about what psychological effects are manifested in caregivers who have a burden of people with some type of disability. As a methodology, a documentary-type descriptive theoretical review was carried out, in which a state of the art was prepared and the phenomenon to be investigated was analyzed; The way in which it was investigated contains the exploration, organization, classification and analysis of a set of ,documents, investigations and articles related to the subject in question, finding a total of 50 documents, of which 33 were destined to the construction of this article. The results show that there is a member of the family nucleus with a disability involved for the functions of its members, even more so in the case of the person who assumes responsibility as caregiver. Finally, it was concluded that it is recommended to carry out this position with the support of family or social relationships, in addition to returning to your daily life and being able to be in contact with the other. It is also important that you do the same with the person being cared for, that they do not isolate themselves, but that they are also in social contact with their closest friends so that this is positively impacted in their mental health and thus their care will be less tedious.
