Influencia del apoyo social en la generación de los recursos positivos de los pacientes con insuficiencia renal crónica (IRC)

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe the way in which social support influences the generation of positive resources of patients with chronic renal insufficiency. (CRI). The research was developed from the perspective and contexts of 7 actors and the families of 5 of them, all of them of legal age in a range of 29 to 83 years between men and women, who receive hemodialysis treatment in a clinic in the city of Cali. Likewise, this research is done under strictly qualitative parameters, where tools such as semi-structured interview and participant observation are highlighted, framed in the fieldwork. Among the most significant results of this research, it highlights the high impact generated by the family within the processes of diagnosis, convalescence and treatment of patients, as this is the group of subjects to whom it is possible to resort with greater certainty , in search of an active and permanent social support, which is reflected not only in the availability at affective and emotional level, but also in terms of economic sustainability and other aspects of a structural nature. The above refers to factors that decisively influence the permanence of the subjects in the treatment, and the configuration of patterns from which one could speak of an improvement in their quality of life. The research also allows a deep discussion on health systems and the way medical services are exercised in the country, looking at the factors that impede the implementation of comprehensive care mechanisms, and guaranteeing the rights of people who They suffer from this type of degenerative diseases.
