Resiliencia y arte en un grupo de jóvenes de la comuna 21 de la ciudad de Cali

Abstract

The purpose of the present thesis was to know the experience of the resilient process through art in a group of young people of the 21st commune of the city of Cali, taking into account the theoretical foundation on resilience from authors such as Grotberg, Rutter, Werner, Vanistendael, Kotliarenco, Munist, Cyrulnik, among others that have contributed to the theoretical development of this concept. Regarding the methodology, the research was conducted from a qualitative perspective of a descriptive type, designed from a case study in order to respond to the objectives set. For this, the application of a semi-structured interview was carried out, where the categories of protective factors (personal, family and socio-cultural), risk factors (Sociocultural-contextual) and the specific artistic activity of young people were investigated. On the other hand, to contextualize where the subjects of this research live, a characterization of the sector was carried out with the collaboration of some inhabitants of the community. As a result, it was found that art has been a tool through which subjects have been able to recognize and strengthen their personal resources, which have served as a protective factor and have become resilient characteristics to face the adversities and challenges present within of its context.
