Abstract

During the first years of life infants and infants need a series of cares to have an integral development, therefore it is required to provide attention in the nutritional, recreational, educational field, likewise, it must be given security so that it does not suffer any Physical or psychological damage. Those responsible for the care in the first place are the family; in particular the parents, however, the current conditions have led to the parents having to delegate this care in a partial manner, thus generating the demand for daycare services, an economic and social opportunity. One of the options to delegate care is to go to a family member, however, it is not always a viable option, because of the distance where they are located, the availability of time and the suitability to perform this task, especially when it comes to minors. four years old. Therefore, it is preferable that the care be delegated to trained and trained people, aware of the needs of childcare, in addition they must contribute to an integral development. (Ministry of Education, 2009, par 4). Day care centers become an option, however, it must be considered that access to their services represents an economic cost, and this can affect households with less income. In this work a study is developed to know the feasibility of creating a day care center in a low-income sector of Cali, generating an option for parents who need to leave their children's care to third parties while they work. The general objective of this work is to carry out a feasibility study to create a night nursery in the Valle Grande neighborhood of Comuna 21, east of Santiago de Cali, with the purpose of teaching, caring for and caring for children from scratch (0) up to four (4) years of life. In the first part a description of the situation of markets that influences the demand for daycare services is made, besides establishing the technical and operational requirements to provide daycare services guaranteeing he welfare and safety of the child population from zero (0) to four (4) years of life. Later with the definition of the legal aspects for the constitution of a nursery according to the Colombian normativity. And finally, an analysis is made of the costs of opening the daycare center and the income that would be received for the service that would be contracted by the parents for the care of the children based on profitability. At the methodological level, this is a descriptive investigation, using techniques such as the survey, the interview and the documentary compilation, which allowed access to qualitative and quantitative information that responds to the objectives set. As a source of secondary data, institutions such as: Administrative Department of Cali Planning, Municipal Health Secretariat, Dane, Mayor of Cali, Ministry of Health and Social Protection, among others. As a primary data source, a sample of 286 parents was consulted by means of a survey, with children between 0 and 4 years old.
