Modelo de implementación JIT para pymes

Abstract

For organizations, in this case, manufacturing companies, it is very important to help different tools or production systems to achieve the desired results, which are mainly selling what is produced, without generating unnecessary costs. For this reason many companies have decided to implement the JIT philosophy or production system to improve primarily the excess inventory that your company has. The development of the just in time philosophy brings positive transformations for companies, there are several cases where there has been great success thanks to the implementation of JIT. To develop this philosophy in a company should take into account the characteristics of this, to achieve with its advantages and disadvantages the successful implementation of JIT in it. This research presents how the just in time philosophy can be applied in manufacturing SMEs in Colombia. For the development of this work, first, different authors are consulted in different periods of time that deal with this philosophy, then review cases where the implementation of JIT was successful, the characteristics of the companies where JIT is to be implemented and finally it is presented a proposed model applicable to SMEs.
