Abstract

The company CDA AUTOMAS LTDA. It is a Colombian company in the automotive sector, service provider, which in recent years has increased the demand, thus bottlenecks and delays were noted in the delivery of services to customers, therefore has chosen to a study and analysis of the maintenance area more precisely in the cellar, as it has serious problems of disorder and cleaning, affecting the safety and employee productivity in addition to a work environment of nonconformity, therefore it is appropriate to raise an opportunity for improvement which will meet the needs of customers, employees and increase the level of competitiveness to survive in the market. This paper is a proposal for improvement for the company, which has been characterized as being correct, strict and comfortable during the waiting time of customers. It is located in several cities of Colombia, in Cali has three current headquarters, where it undergoes a large organizational growth therefore want to be more competitive by offering efficient service, reducing waiting time, to provide greater customer satisfaction. To improve the situation the methodology 5's lean manufacturing in the cellar of tools and materials work, which aims to mitigate the waste that exist throughout the process, improving the performance of activities and providing growth of productivity is proposed the company.
